Sharing the production process of double-layer cans

2020-08-25

Double-walled tanks are increasingly favored, especially in gas stations, where they provide enhanced safety. These tanks feature a uniform interlayer space and a leak detection instrument communicating with that space, enabling real-time monitoring for leaks in the inner tank. To help more customers understand the production process of double-walled tanks, Huajin's editor will provide a detailed explanation below.
(1) Manufacturing Process
1. Head Fabrication: Material inspection → Sizing and cutting → Cleaning and chipping welds → Seam welding → Forming → Inspection → Welding reinforcing ribs → Inspection
2. Tank Body: Material inspection → Sizing and cutting → Cleaning and chipping welds → Pre-rolling → Welding → Rounding → Inspection
3. Tank Assembly: Head and cylinder section welding → Connecting each cylinder section → Welding → Inspection → Tack welding reinforcing plates and ribs → Inspection → Welding → Inspection
4. Fitting Installation: Welding supports → Inspection → Marking hole positions → Inspection → Welding manhole and various nozzles → Inspection
(2) Oil Tank Forming and Welding Requirements: When welding the cylinder, steel reinforcing rings are added inside the cylinder sections for support.
1. Tank Section Misalignment: Seam A ≤ 1mm, Seam B ≤ 1.5mm;
2. Weld Angle: Seam A ≤ 2.6mm, Seam B ≤ 1mm;
3. Tank Body Roundness: Maximum diameter and minimum diameter ≤ ±10mm;
4. Tank Body Straightness: ≤5mm;
(3) Welding: Welds must be smooth and straight, free from cracks, porosity, arc craters, undercuts, and weld spatter;
1. End cap seams are welded using manual welding or submerged arc welding. The welding material is J506 or H10Mn2, weld width <10mm, weld height ≤2mm;
2. Tank body welds are welded using manual welding or submerged arc welding. The welding material is J506 or H10Mn2, weld width <10mm, weld height ≤2mm;
3. Reinforcing plates are welded using manual welding, welding material is J506, weld height 5mm;
4. Reinforcing ribs are welded using CO2 gas shielded welding, welding material is H08Mn2SiA, weld height 5mm;
5. Supports are welded using manual welding or CO2 gas shielded welding. The welding material is J422 or H08MnSi; (Welding to the tank must use J506 or H08Mn2SiA)
Each step in the production of double-walled tanks is carefully executed, ensuring customer satisfaction and safe use.
